Any time I airbrush a cake black, I cannot seem to get any color to show up on top of the black! For example: I just airbrushed a car for a cake and am trying to put flames on the front of it. Nothing is showing up (tried green, yellow and white).
Any tips?
Thank you!!!

My advice for airbrushing flames on a black cake — 1st option is to create a paper mask in the shape of the flames and paint the black around it, then come in with the flame colors on the white icing.
2nd option – get hold of some edible opaque white. Spray in the flame shapes and then add the color on top of that. Hope that helps.
